What is a baby sensory room?
A baby sensory room is a specially designed environment that stimulates your baby’s senses sight, sound, touch, smell, and movement. It includes lights, textures, music, and soft play areas to encourage exploration and support your baby’s development.
What age group is the sensory room suitable for?
Our sensory room is best suited for babies from birth up to 3 years. Some sessions may be tailored specifically for pre-walking (0–12 months) or open sessions too for up to 5 years. Well behaved siblings up to 10 years can visit but must not damage the equipment.
What are the benefits of sensory play for babies?
Sensory play helps with:

Is the room safe for babies?
Yes! Safety is our top priority. The sensory room is fully padded, with age-appropriate equipment and regular safety checks. All materials are baby-safe and non-toxic.
Do I need to supervise my baby?
Yes, a parent or caregiver must remain with their baby at all times during the session to ensure safety and help guide their exploration.
How long is each session?
Each sensory session lasts for 1 hour. You can use the sensory rooms as often as you require during that time. After your session has ended stay and have a coffee and cake in our cosy coffee shop.
Can I bring siblings or other children?
Well behaved siblings up to 10 years can visit but must not damage the equipment and must maintain the calming environment for the small children and babies. They must purchase a ticket or extra child additional charge. One adult can be responsible for a maximum of 2 children.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, our spaces are limited to keep the experience peaceful and enjoyable. To help us prepare for your visit, we kindly ask that all bookings be made in advance through our website. We do accept walk-ins subject to availability and checking session times on the website is advised.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
A clean blanket or mat for your baby to lie on
A change of clothes and diapers
Any comfort items your baby may need
Socks for adults and children
Is the room accessible for prams and wheelchairs?
Space is limited, prams can be brought into the cafe and left at your own discretion in our pram parking area.
Can I take photos during the session?
To respect the privacy of all families, we ask that you only take photos of your own child and avoid capturing others unless you have their permission.
